Welcome to Mon Ecole My School!
Mon Ecole My School accepts children aged 2 to 11 and newcomers are welcome throughout the school year, subject to place availability. We limit group size to enable us to adapt the program to each child’s individual needs.
Our curriculum is based on the French national curriculum, following the Common Core of Knowledge and Skills 2016 (“le socle commun de connaissances, de compétences et de culture 2016”). The first academic priority of the school is to make sure that every child makes excellent progress in French language and mathematics. However we are confident that our bilingual approach, where children are immersed in a bilingual environment every day with native French and English speakers, will enable each child to build a sound working knowledge of each language and to learn about British and American culture in a fun way. Practical Info
School days are four days per week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 08:45 to 16:30.
The children are welcomed at the school starting from 08:00. After school, the children can go to After School Care starting from 16:45 until 18:00.
Our school vacations follow the Zone-C of French school vacation scheduled by the Ministry of Education. Click here for the school and bank holidays.
There is no school on Wednesdays, however we offer day-care facilities at the school every Wednesday during term time from 08:00 to 18:00. The Wednesday Club is open to all children, including those who do not attend My School.
My School holds a Holiday Club with our partner, the Chic Planet Kids, during the school vacation that is open to all, including children who do not attend My School.
School Programmes
Mon Ecole My School also offers after-school and out-of-school-time programs. The Wednesday Club, Holiday Club and My School of English are open to children who are NOT enrolled at Mon Ecole My School.
School Grades Equivalents in French, English, and American School Systems
One main difference between the French and English/American education system is that in France the year of birth is taken into account when placing a child in a year group whereas in England and in the US the age of the pupil is taken into account from the beginning of September to the end of August.
